Home School Brain Breaks
Definition: Brain breaks are mental breaks designed to help students stay focused and attentive. The brain breaks get students moving to carry blood and oxygen to the brain. The breaks energize or relax. The breaks provide processing time for students to solidify their learning
How long should brain breaks be?
Depending on students' ages and focus development, brain break frequency will vary. As a general rule, a concentrated study of 10 to 15 minutes for elementary school and 20 to 30 minutes for middle and high school students call for a three- to five-minute break.

Line Art homeschool lesson
A one-line drawing, also known as a single line drawing, is a drawing made with just one line. For most artists, it is a way to simplify the complex world around us. Yet there are many different kinds out there, with each artist having their own specific characteristics.
A continuous line drawing is one in which a single, unbroken line is used to develop the image. Although mostly created as an exercise, many continuous line drawings can stand on their own as finished works of art.

$13,000x
I'm just eyeballing this.
It seems the Baltimore City students are budgeted $13,000 per student. I believe city homeschoolers are included in that count, but the parents receive nothing! In California and a few other states, you are paid towards homeschooling.
You cannot write off any homeschool related expenses on Maryland. We're really on our own. It's not like the wild west. Wonderful people have stepped up all throughout the world to offer help, organization, and encouragement towards homeschooling.
At this moment please say Thank You!!!! To the universe for the internet and the vast knowledge available.
$960 ....... towards Xfinity
-Art and the organization of art supplies needs to be discussed in further detail. We all need to come up with a solution for storing artwork and how to care for all the supplies.
$13,000 does not mean it will be spent on a million canvases and brushes .. yes, Lillian I'm talking to you
As we all tiresomely know,
The forever argument (usually from crazy-eyed people) is...
We're OK with no help from the state of Maryland for our homeschooling
They do have a free website you can follow
https://mdk12.msde.maryland.gov/Pages/home.aspx
I guess you can say I follow the whole, "I'm not under your roof or on your watch ............ .. . . . .. .and won't be. Ever (internal screaming)(really like ear-bleeding screams)"
but we're going to approve the $13,000 per student in my homeschool.
If I allot $13,000 a school year to each of my kids
13x4=52
$52,000 .. oh but wait!!!!
There's me + $15,000 ( remember the internet has to be paid and I have to buy gas and pay the car payment)
52+15=
67
Hey! We forgot about Chris + $4,000 (he likes to eat 2nd breakfast daily)
$71,000
"$71,000 is how much it costs to home educate" is my new answer.
ALSO,
we're buying Lillian millions of canvases and brushes
please come back soon to see her online gallery!!
