KETO CHICKEN POT PIE RECIPE!!!!!

KETO CHICKEN POT PIE RECIPE!!!!!

Pie Mix

Ingredients:

1/3 cup butter

1/3 cup chopped onion

1 cup mixed keto veggies

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1 tsp minced garlic

1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning

3/4 cup chicken broth

3 oz cream cheese

2 tsp Reds hot sauce

1 cup heavy cream

1 tsp Xanthan gum

2 1/2 cups pre-cooked shredded chicken

Biscuit topping

1 1/2 Cups Almond Flour

1/4 tsp Salt

1 tbs Baking Powder

1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

1/2 tsp Onion Powder

2 Eggs

1/2 Cup Sour Cream

4 tbs Butter melted

1/2 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Optional Topping:

sprinkle with fresh parsley

 Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.

Heat the butter in an 11 inch cast iron skillet. Add the onion, keto vegetables, salt, pepper, garlic, and poultry seasoning. Cook it long enough to make the veggies nice and soft. This will take approximately 7 to 10 minutes.

In a separate frying pan, add the chicken broth, cream cheese, Red’s Hot Sauce, and heavy cream and stir until all the ingredients are melted and fully combined. Sprinkle in the xanthan gum on top of the cream mixture to thicken it.

Now add the precooked chicken and the cream mixture to the precooked vegetables in the 11-inch cast iron skillet.

Set this mixture aside and start making the Keto Cheesy Biscuits for the Keto Pot Pie topping.

In a medium-size bowl, combine the almond flour, salt, baking powder, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix until all the ingredients are combined.

Add the eggs, sour cream, melted butter, and cheddar cheese to the dry ingredients. Mix until all the ingredients come together to make the biscuit dough. It will be a drop biscuit consistency type batter.

Using a tablespoon, scoop out equal portions and place it over the top of the Keto Pot Pie vegetable mixture you set aside earlier.

Cover the keto chicken pot pie with aluminum foil and place it in the oven for about 40 minutes until it’s almost done. Remove the aluminum foil and all the biscuits to brown on top for an additional 10 minutes until the center of the biscuits is completely done. You will know when they are done when you poke them with a toothpick (or knife) and it comes out clean with no batter on it.

In these recipe photos, we doubled the Keto Cheesy Biscuits topping ingredients to make more biscuits but you can use less.

Notes:

You can use leftover chicken or you can always precook your chicken in an instant pot with a cup of water or chicken broth. The chicken cook time in an Instant Pot pressure cooker is only 10 minutes on manual for fresh defrosted chicken, or 12 to 15 minutes for frozen chicken. That’s the best part about my pressure cooker. If I forget to defrost my chicken, I can always pop it in the Instant Pot pressure cooker and have it steamed in no time! Now you can use a frozen bag of mixed vegetables for ths recipe but if you are looking for keto approved veggies it should be a combination of onion, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, radishes, squash, red peppers, orange peppers, etc… Most precut mixed frozen veggies have carrots and peas. If you are strict keto, I want you to be aware of this.

Earl Nightengale's 30 action plan

The moment you decide on a goal to work toward, you’re immediately a successful person and you are then in that rare group of people who know where they’re going. Out of every hundred people, you belong to the top five. Don’t concern yourself too much with how you are going to achieve your goal and leave that completely to a power greater than yourself. All you have to do is know where you’re going. The answers will come to you of their own accord, and at the right time.

Start today. You have nothing to lose and but you have your whole life to win.

30-DAY ACTION IDEAS FOR PUTTING THE STRANGEST SECRET TO WORK FOR YOU

For the next 30-days follow each of these steps every day until you have achieved your goal.

1. Write on a card what it is you want more than anything else. It may be more money. Perhaps you’d like to double your income or make a specific amount of money. It may be a beautiful home. It may be a success at your job. It may be a particular position in life. It could be a more harmonious family.

Write down on your card specifically what it is you want. Make sure it’s a single goal and clearly defined. You needn’t show it to anyone, but carry it with you so that you can look at it several times a day. Think about it in a cheerful, relaxed, positive way each morning when you get up, and immediately you have something to work for and something to get out of bed for, something to live for.

Look at it every chance you get during the day and just before going to bed at night. As you look at it, remember that you must become what you think about, and since you’re thinking about your goal, you realize that soon it will be yours. In fact, it’s really yours the moment you write it down and begin to think about it.

2. Stop thinking about what it is you fear. Each time a fearful or negative thought comes into your mind, replace it with a mental picture of your positive and worthwhile goal. And there will come a time when you’ll feel like giving up. It’s easier for a human being to think negatively than positively. That’s why only five percent are successful! You must begin now to place yourself in that group.

“Act as though it were impossible to fail,” as Dorothea Brande said. No matter what your goal and if you’ve kept your goal before you every day and you’ll wonder and marvel at this new life you’ve found.

3. Your success will always be measured by the quality and quantity of service you render. Most people will tell you that they want to make money, without understanding this law. The only people who make money work in a mint. The rest of us must earn money. This is what causes those who keep looking for something for nothing, or a free ride, to fail in life. Success is not the result of making money; earning money is the result of success and success is in direct proportion to our service.

Most people have this law backward. It’s like the man who stands in front of the stove and says to it: “Give me heat and then I’ll add the wood.” How many men and women do you know, or do you suppose there are today, who take the same attitude toward life? There are millions.

We’ve got to put the fuel in before we can expect heat. Likewise, we’ve got to be of service first before we can expect money. Don’t concern yourself with the money. Be of service … build … work … dream … create! Do this and you’ll find there is no limit to the prosperity and abundance that will come to you.

Don’t start your test until you’ve made up your mind to stick with it. If you should fail during your first 30 days and by that I mean suddenly find yourself overwhelmed by negative thoughts and simply start over again from that point and go 30 more days. Gradually, your new habit will form, until you find yourself one of that wonderful minority to whom virtually nothing is impossible.

Above all … don’t worry! Worry brings fear, and fear is crippling. The only thing that can cause you to worry during your test is trying to do it all yourself. Know that all you have to do is hold your goal before you; everything else will take care of itself.

Take this 30-day test, then repeat it … then repeat it again. Each time it will become more a part of you until you’ll wonder how you could have ever have lived any other way. Live this new way and the floodgates of abundance will open and pour over you more riches than you may have dreamed existed. Money? Yes, lots of it. But what’s more important, you’ll have peace … you’ll be in that wonderful minority who leads calm, cheerful, successful lives.

National Anthem Day March 3

March 3, 1931

"The Star-Spangled Banner" was recognized for official use by the United States Navy in 1889, and by U.S. President Woodrow Wilson in 1916, and was made the national anthem by a congressional resolution on March 3, 1931 (46 Stat. 1508, codified at 36 U.S.C. § 301), which was signed by President Herbert Hoover.

e Star Spangled Banner

by Francis Scott Key

O say can you see by the dawn’s early light,

What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming,

Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,

O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?

And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air,

Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;

O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave,

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore dimly seen through the mists of the deep,

Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes,

What is that which the breeze, o’er the towering steep,

As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?

Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam,

In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:

‘Tis the star-spangled banner, O! long may it wave

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore

That the havoc of war and the battle’s confusion,

A home and a country, should leave us no more?

Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps’ pollution.

No refuge could save the hireling and slave

From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:

And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave,

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

O thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand

Between their loved homes and the war’s desolation.

Blest with vict’ry and peace, may the Heav’n rescued land

Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!

Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,

And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”

And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

What was our national anthem before “The Star-Spangled Banner”? While there was no official anthem, Americans sang a tune called “Hail Columbia,” which was written for the inauguration of George Washington. Take a listen below.

Teen Mental Wellness Day

Adolescence can be a rough time for parents. At times, your teen may be a source of frustration and exasperation, not to mention financial stress. But these years also bring many, many moments of joy, pride, laughter, and closeness.

It is an adolescent’s job to gain the confidence to be able to stand on his own.  As challenging as it is to watch our children grow up, it is critical to their well-being and to the health of our relationships that we honor their growing independence. When we hold them back they rebel against us. When we monitor their safety while guiding them towards independence – sometimes actively and sometimes by getting out of the way – they appreciate us. When our children know that we supported them to become independent, they will return to us for that interdependence that defines loving families well beyond childhood.

 What Teens Can Do:

 When feeling angry, worried or troubled, discuss your feelings with a parent, another trusted adult, or

a trusted friend. Teachers and coaches are two examples of adults who can help.

 Find safe and healthy interests that you enjoy outside of school and home.

 Write down some goals for the future to help you stay focused on things that really matter. This can

help you put day-to-day problems into perspective.

 Avoid using alcohol, tobacco and other drugs; these don’t help with problems and often make things

worse. Instead, think about positive ways to handle problems and the feelings that go along with

them.

 If you’re in trouble with your mood, drug use, or sexuality, get help. You never need to feel alone

What Parents Can Do:

 Listen to your teenager—let him talk out his problems with you

before jumping in with a solution. Teens need adults to believe

in them unconditionally and expect them to succeed.

 Encourage your teenager to get involved in activities that

engage her with the community in a positive way. For some

this may be sports or drama, for others it may involve tutoring

younger kids or volunteering in the community.

 Set clear expectations that you want to know where your teen is

and when he’ll be back. Discuss with him the consequences of

the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

 Help your teen to identify other adults to turn to when she wants to talk.

 Let your high schooler know that it’s okay to seek help from a counselor, health care professional, or

trusted adult, if needed. Students and parents are encouraged to be aware of the services available at

their school and how to access those services.

 Encourage your teen to explore solutions. In many cases, she will know about the solutions—for

example, extra help after school —but may need your encouragement to try them.

 Everyone experiences anger and stress! Help your teen to find acceptable ways of working through

these feelings.

As adults, one of the greatest things we can do for our teens is to equip them with a wide repertoire of positive coping strategies. They learn these strategies best when they see them modeled by the important adults in their lives.
