The video shows in 1967 when Lady Chichester, wife of the navigator Sir Francis Chichester, wore a bright red trouser suit when her husband was publicly knighted by Queen Elizabeth II.
Women primarily wore dresses and skirts, the lengths would vary; but to wear pants in public while meeting the Queen!!
