Alternative ways to cook an egg for everyone in your family without taking hours!!!!!
My two ways are
1. Oven hard cooked (no boiling necessary)
ingredients-
- 8 eggs
directions-
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Put 1 egg in each of 12 muffin cups.***
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Place baked eggs in a large bowl filled with ice water until cooled completely, about 10 minutes.
***Alton Brown's YouTube video shows him doing this but with a thoroughly damp towel laid on the oven rack. Then resting the eggs on the towel so they never touch metal. I'm not that brave, I'll use a silicon muffin pan.
2. Sheet pan eggs (no frying necessary)
ingredients-
1. 8 eggs
directions-
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
2. Rub sheet pan with a stick of butter or spray with cooking spray.
3. Crack the 8 eggs onto the sheet pan.
4. Season with salt & pepper
5. Bake for 6-8 minutes. Watch carefully so the eggs don't burn.
If you using this idea for meal prep you can store the cooked eggs inside the refrigerator in an airtight container.
