Instructions:
Your assignment is to create a poem about Gene Stratton-Porter by using words and phrases found in
Nature’s Storyteller. Follow the format provided below to complete each of the poem’s lines.

The Age of Enlightenment was preceded by and closely associated with the scientific revolution. Earlier philosophers whose work influenced the Enlightenment included Bacon and Descartes. The major figures of the Enlightenment included Beccaria, Diderot, Hume, Kant, Montesquieu, Rousseau, Adam Smith, and Voltaire.

Step One: Research your assigned Enlightenment Figure.
Step Two: Draft and Edit a TWO paragraph biography. One Paragraph on your figure
and one paragraph on their influence to the Enlightenment.
Step Three: Come up with THREE (3) Multiple Choice Questions on your assignment.
These are meant to be straightforward and assess what your classmates retained from
your presentation.
Step Four: Write your poem. Remember that a poem is meant to be interpretive.
These will be performed in front of the class.
