Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π. Pi Day is observed on March 14 since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant digits of π. In 2009, the United States House of Representatives supported the designation of Pi Day.
π Pi Day Activities
Eating Pi foods - pie, pizza, pistachio
Pizza Pi Party - Pass out pizza dough balls and make your own pizzas for a “Pi”zza lunch. But before eating those pizzas, let your students measure the circumference and diameter of each pizza.
Do you know Pi past 3.14? Let's see if who can recite the most digits of the Pi. The one with the most digits can have the first pick of the pies!
