Anchor charts help to ‘anchor’ the students learning
Anchor Charts are terrific props used to explain what you're going to be teaching. The anchor charts above were some I found on Google search. Pinterest has an awesome selection of anchor charts and other visuals to help you teach a wide variety of topics.

The best way to use an anchor chart is bring out a huge blank sheet of paper (Poster board, Easel pad, or flip chart) and lots of colorful markers. Grab the attention of everyone and work together making the chart. The ideas will stick with them a lot more than just seeing you bring out a flashy, colorful posterboard and review all the things you've put on the board.

Because you're only using the anchor chart for each lesson there is no need to keep them longer than a few weeks. Unless you're using one for rules or procedures. If that's the case I'd have them laminated. Our local Learning how charges a few cents per foot. Talk to the cashier, homeschooling parents may get a discount.

Displaying the anchor chart where each child has a chance to see it should help them become more independent and confident when they get stuck on something. When I had the alphabet posted the kids would breeze through spelling because they had the poster to help themselves list their words in ABC order.

Like I said, Pinterest has a huge selection of anchor charts. You can definitely get inspired to start making your own.

These are some easel pads I found on Amazon. I've linked the items through my affiliate site.
