Back to Homeschool FIRST DAY FUN

First day of school was always the best day, (tied with the last day of school, of course.)

We've been doing a lot of outside activities this month. I thought a good one would be to have a funeral for our fears. We will bury all the self doubt and negative thoughts that keep us from succeeding and trying our best.

We will make a list of all the things we feel we can't do, math for example.
We'll take the list and a succulent and plant it in lonely spot around the house. As the succulent thrives and multiplies, we'll make the connection of how much we have grown since confronting our fears.

We are homeschoolers, there is no can't. We have all the time in the world to master a skill, to learn a word, or focus on the things that truly interest us.

This years approach is going to be more, child lead than last year. The Unschooling/Homeschooling label will have to wait. The kids are all 4 different people. They learn 4 different ways. React to school work in 4 different ways. Need snacks at 4 different times of the morning!
