Basic Pesto Recipe

Materials Needed:
Blender or small food processor
Spatula or large spoon
Cheese grater
Measuring cups and spoons



Ingredients:
4 cups loosely packed basil, washed & dried
1 clove of garlic
1 c. grated Parmesan
1 c. olive oil
4 TB walnuts
Adobo to taste

Delicious on
French bread
Italian bread
Cheddar bread
Grilled vegetables
Store leftovers in the refrigerator
Leftovers can be served on pasta, bagel chips, pizza, as a dip

Procedure:
Combine the basil with a pinch of Adobo, garlic, walnuts and about ½ the oil in a food processor or blender. Remember to scrape down the sides of the container with a spatula or spoon as processing. Add the rest of the oil gradually.
Stir in the cheese by hand. Taste test for seasoning needed.
Add more oil for a thinner sauce.
Yields: Almost 2 cups
