Mary Surratt House in Clinton, Maryland

 Mary Surratt

http://www.surrattmuseum.org/

I passed by this house often throughout the years. Most of it was the back and forth to high school (Surrattsville High School) or on our way to visit my cousins (Hi, Krebs Family!).
In the last 15 years, I haven't seen it. On my Today In History reminder, the reminder was that Mary Surratt was hung for treason today, in 1865 at 1:22 p.m.
“…the Commission do, therefore, sentence her, the said MARY E. SURRATT, to be hanged by the neck until she be dead, at such time and place as the President of the United States shall direct.”

The four were Mary Surratt, Lewis Payne, David Herold and George Atzerod. That's Mary, on the far left.
